Paul’s professional life started as an attorney in Australia in 1995, acting in industrial relations matters for trade unions in the construction, forestry, mining and transport industries. He then worked for a very different type of clientele at one of Australia’s most high-profile employer labour law firms, where his clients where typically publicly listed or entrepreneur-owned companies seeking innovative solutions to labour law challenges. After a stint in the United Kingdom working with a Fleet Street firm, Paul returned to Australia and continued to advise on employment law issues, industrial relations and human resources. Marriage resulted in Paul relocating to South Africa in 2005 where he set up Workplace Strategies CC.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts/Law (University of Tasmania), Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, (University of Tasmania), Graduate Diploma of Labour Relations Law (University of Melbourne) and a Certificate of Labour Law (University of Cape Town). His current professional memberships include the Industrial Relations Society of South Africa and he is a Committee Member of the South African Society for Labour Law in the Western Cape.
Megan practised at Fluxmans Inc in the labour law department as an Associate and Senior Associate for about seven years where she
gained experience in chairing disciplinary and incapacity hearings, dispute resolution, settlements, labour law litigation at the CCMA,
Bargaining Councils and Labour Courts, and other employment and workplace-related issues.
Megan relocated to Cape Town where she continued to practice employment law before joining Workplace Strategies.
Megan holds Bachelor of Commerce (University of South Africa), a Bachelor of Laws (University of South Africa) and became an Attorney of the High Court in June of 2013.
Britney worked as a Human Resource Practitioner in the travel industry before completing her Law degree. She was admitted as a
Practising Attorney in 2019 and went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law at the University of Cape Town.
Britney is currently on the practising roll and regularly attends matters at the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration
(“CCMA”) and other dispute tribunals. Her earlier experience in Human Resources has provided a good foundation from which Britney
can now advise both employees and employers.
Britney holds a Bachelor of Law degree (University of South Africa), a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law (University of Cape Town) and became an Attorney of the High Court in March 2019.
Brendan became an admitted attorney in 1997 has over 15 years’ experience in the field of labour law. He has worked with consulting firm NMG Levy Consultants and Actuaries, Maserumule Inc Attorneys and acted as principal attorney at Guy & Associates Attorneys. His current clients include the SA Metal Group, the Faircape Group and South African National Biodiversity.
Brendan holds a Bachelor of Arts (University of Cape Town), Bachelor of Laws (University of Cape Town) and Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law (University of Potcherstroom).
Marion has a diverse background that started in chemistry and process engineering, but her strong interest in people led to training and organisational development where her career has now extended over 18 years. Her consulting services concentrate on assisting organisations to reach their goals by unlocking the motivation & performance of their employees. Key focus areas include creating performance management processes that drive engagement and business results, developing managers out of technical specialists and facilitating teams to high performance
Marion has worked in South Africa, UK and Europe as a manager and a consultant in various business sectors from manufacturing to financial services. Her articles appear in HR publications and she regularly presents topics at the Chamber of Commerce and other industry organisations.
She holds a first degree in chemistry (UCT), a M.Sc. in Strategic Training and Development (University of Surrey Roehampton) and is accredited by the South African Board for People Practices as a Chartered HR Practitioner.
